Amazon has become the leader in online pet products, and Chewy.com also has a considerable market share.
The market research organization Packaged fact conducted a small survey, which interviewed a total of 1,191 U.S. users aged 18 and above who had bought pet products in stores or online in the past 12 months, 531 of whom bought pet products online.

Sales in Chewy.com include sales in Pet360.com and PetFoodDirect.com Packaged Facts analysts evaluated the sales of online pet food and products based on usage and purchase frequency.
The results showed that the largest number of respondents bought pet products from Amazon, accounting for 35%. Another 26% said they bought it from Chewy.com (including Pet360.com and PetFoodDirect.com).
Wal-Mart and PetSmart account for 8% of the online businesses of physical retailers. Petco accounts for 7%.
According to One Click Retail, Amazon's overall pet product sales rose 31% in the first half of 2018, according to data from the Amazon Second Quarter: Pet Products report. Online pet food and supplies had sales of more than 360 million US dollars in the first two quarters, up 34% year-on-year.
